Worrying is a Portuguese national passtime.

In this episode, recorded in April 2020, we chat with Dr. Darlene Sousa of Child Mind Northwest in Las Vegas, Nevada area. Dr. Sousa grew up in the Central Valley of California but has also lived and worked abroad. Her daughter’s difficulty in school led her to further her education in the area of educational psychology, which led to the study of cultural psychology. We discuss some of the dynamics of relationships and their possible origins, including geography & history. We also chat about potential strategies for talking with family members.
